Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually from September 15 to October 15 recognizing the long and significant presence of Hispanic and Latino Americans in North America. The City of Miami Beach is pleased to announce events throughout September and October to promote Hispanic culture through City-sponsored programs Miami Beach OnStage!, MB Parks and Recreation, the North Beach Bandshe/1, and the Hispanic Affairs Committee. Singer/ songwriter and multi-instrumentalist FABI is an international touring artist based in Miami. His music carries a wide blend of world rhythms, along with a powerful and original sound. Grupo Barrio Abajo, aims to make known internationally the musical heritage of Carnival and the entire Colombian Caribbean such as cumbia, bullerengue, porro, and chande. From Montuno, Guaracha, Boleros, Nengon , and Bolero Son, this dynamic ensemble brings the listener back to a time when Trio Matamoros, or Ignacio Piniero ruled the Cuban music world. Sunday, September 30, 2021 6-9PM Collins Park Plaza, 201 21 Street *In partnership with Community Arts and Culture presents Elastic Bond, Venezonix and DJ Kumi . Elastic Bond infuses an uplifting sound self-described as a psychedelic tropical soul. Venezonix's Afro-Venezuelan rhythm sounds are created with a mix between traditional Venezuelan instruments with futuristic beats. DJ Kumi, one of Miami's most eclectic turntable masters will spin a selection of Latin music.
