Hudak, City Mana~ September 16, 2021 SUBJECT: Ad Hoc North Beach Community Redevelopment Agency ("North Beach CRA") Advisory Committee Motions This Letter to the Commission ("L TC") provides an update regarding the four motions passed at the September 15, 2021 meeting of the Ad Hoc North Beach CRA Advisory Committee. Members in Attendance: Jose Smith (Chair), Daniel Veitia (Vice Chair), John Bowes, Romina Orozco-Encio, Betsy Perez, Manning Salazar, and David Sexton Motion 1. To express support for the agenda item at the September 17, 2021 meeting of the City Commission to discuss potential action and funding for a conceptual design for the Byron Carlyle Theater. Motion made by: Seconded by: Passed: Manning Salazar Jose Smith 7-0 Motion 2. To consider including affordable, workforce, and artist housing when planning for the cultural facility at the Byron Carlyle Theater site. Motion made by: Seconded by: Passed: Daniel Veitia Romina Orozco-Encio 6 -1 Motion 3. To express support for the 72nd Street Community Complex, subject to a project cost limitation of $11 0 million. Proceeds from the potential sale of public property should be allocated equitably between the 72 nd Street Community Complex project and the future use of the Byron Carlyle Theater.
