SUBJECT: COVID-19 Testing and Vaccine Update
The purpose of this Letter to the Commission is to provide an update on COVID-19 testing and
vaccination opportunities in the city.
As our community experiences a spike in positive cases, Nomi Health — which operates the
testing and vaccination site located on the first floor of the Pennsylvania Garage on 17 Street
and Pennsylvania Avenue — has extended their operating hours seven days a week from 8
a.m. to 9 p.m., with no appointment necessary. This location offers the Pfizer, Moderna and
Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines as well as the single booster dose of Pfizer and
Moderna vaccines to those eligible. The site also administers vaccines to children ages 5-11.
Holiday hours for this site are the following:
Christmas Eve: 8 AM – 3 PM
Christmas Day: CLOSED
New Year's Eve: 8 AM – 6 PM
New Year's Day: CLOSED
To date, over 439,000 tests and 19,000 vaccinations have been administered at this location,
recently averaging nearly 1,500 patients per day.
Miami-Dade County will be hosting a pop-up vaccination event on Monday, January 3 and
Tuesday, January 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at parking lot P106 located at 7515 Collins Avenue.
This location will offer the Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines.
We continue to work with health care providers to identify opportunities, both pop-up and long-
term, to offer both vaccinations and testing to our community.
Appointments for homebound vaccinations for individuals 12 years of age or older can be
scheduled by calling 1.888.201.5490 or emailing vaccinations@ILShealth.com. Appointments
can be made Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays.
Additionally, COVID-19 vaccines and testing are also currently available at the following
