Subject: Youth Job Fair Update
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to share the outcome of the City's Youth Job Fair
held on January 28, 2022, in collaboration with CareerSource South Florida and Miami Beach
Senior High School. Thus far, twelve students have been hired and/or are in the hiring process.
The following local area businesses participated in the job fair to connect youth seeking jobs
with employers seeking to hire:
• Eden Roe
• Loews Hotel
• SLS South Beach
• Highgate Hotels
• Miami Beach Convention Center
• Holiday Inn/ Crescent Hotels
• Best Western/ Crescent Hotels
• Miami Beach Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Center
• Vida/Estilo Restaurant Group (Havanna 1957)
We are grateful to our partners and their interest in providing Miami Beach youth with
employment opportunities. The city is planning another Youth Job Fair in April 2022 to assist
youth seeking summer employment opportunities.
We will continue to support our vision of being a prosperous city with a special flavor of arts,
culture, education, and business with management objectives of being known for (PreK-12)
educational excellence.
