SUBJECT : Request for Letters of Interest (RFU) No. 2022-299-WG Holiday Tree Concessionaire
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to provide a status update regarding Request for
Letters of Interest (RFU) No. 2022-299-WG for Holiday Tree Concessionaire.
At its February 9, 2022 meeting, the City Commission, pursuant to agenda item C7N, directed the
Administration to issue a solicitation for a holiday tree concessionaire on the City's West Lots for
the December 2022 holiday season. Pursuant to the Resolution, the Administration issued
Request for Letters of Interest (RFU) 2022-299-WG seeking responses from firms or non-profit
organizations interested in operating a holiday tree concession within the City. Over 5000 firms
were notified, including every organization listed in the Marketing and Communications
Department's database of houses of worship within the City. Letters of interest were due April 7,
2022. However, no responses to the RFU were received.
The most recent RFU process is the City's third attempt to solicit proposals for a holiday tree
concession . In August 2017, and again in March 2018, the Administration issued previous RFUs
that also resulted in no responses.
