SUBJECT : 7th Annual Miami Beach Youth Music Festival -Open Call for Artists
The purpose of this L TC is to notify the Mayor and City Commission that, in partnership
with the City of Miami Beach, the Rhythm Foundation will host the seventh annual Miami
Beach Youth Music Festival next year as a one-day celebration of our city's most
talented young musicians. Auditions are now open for those who wish to participate in
the festival, which will take place at the Miami Beach Bandshell on Saturday, March 11,
2023.
Auditions are now open to individuals aged 18 and under, in bands or as solo acts, who
perform live music of any genre such as rock, jazz, Latin, electronic, folk, classical, funk,
reggae, and spoken word. Participants must be able to perform live and play a musical
instrument; original works are encouraged. Additionally, at least one individual must also
be a Miami Dade County resident or attend a Miami Beach school.
Participant applications can be found at www.miamibeach.rocks . The deadline to submit
applications is 5:00 p.m. on December 12, 2022. More information-can be found on the
festival website.
Selected youth performers will be announced on or before Monday, January 09, 2023 .
The Miami Beach Youth Music Festival in March will include a variety of young artists,
culminating with a performance by the Miami Beach Rock Ensemble and more rising
stars to be announced in the new year!
