SUBJECT: Citizenship Drive
The purpose of this LTC is to notify the Mayor and City Commission that The Office of
Housing and Community Services and Florida Immigrant Coalition (FLIC), in collaboration
with the Police Athletic League and Parks and Recreation are providing a Citizenship
Drive on Saturday October 22 nd from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Citizenship Drives help Green
Card holders in Florida apply for their US citizenship!
While registration is not mandatory, it is highly recommended and encouraged that
families and individuals that want to participate register online first.

The Office of Housing and Community Services will be providing assistance to any
families and individuals that need help applying online prior to the event.
To receive assistance with the pre-application, families and individuals can come to City
Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, first floor. (Double doors between the two outside
elevators). The hours of operation are 8:30am to l 2noon ( closed for lunch between
12noon to 1 pm) and 1 pm to 5pm. Families and individuals can also call us at 305-673-
7491.
Families and Individuals Applying Must Meet These Requirements: • Reside in the United States as a permanent resident for 5 years or Reside in the
United States as a permanent resident for 3 years and married to a United States
citizen.
•Be 18 years old or older.
•Physically present in the United States for half of the 5 (or 3 years) period.
