J DATE: October 28, 2022 SUBJECT: City of Miami Beach Receives Two 2022 Silver Davey Awards The purpose of this letter to comm ission is to announce that the Office of Marketing & Communications, in partnership with the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) and their agency of record VML Y&R, has received two 2022 Silver Davey Awards for the "Take Care of Our City" multimedia campaign and website . Th is campaign engaged more than 40 local residents and community leaders to welcome visitors to Miami Beach while informing them of all of the amazing offerings available in our city while educating them about our local laws and safety regulations. The campaign included paid social, search engine optimization, bus shelters, trolleys, pole banners and digital executions, which ran between Feb. 18, 2022 and March 30, 2022. Examples of the creative can be seen below: The creative also included beach entry signage as well as traffic barricades with QR codes that took visitors directly to our City of Miami Beach safety website. The campaign received a total of 18,671,832 impressions. Barricade Cover The campaign was awarded the Silver Davey Award for Content Marketing -Social Responsibility in Social Media Marketing. The custom website developed for the campaign was awarded the Silver Davey Award for General -Government for Websites. The international Davey Awards are sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, a body consisting of executives from top-tier media, advertising and marketing firms, including Spotify, Publicis, Conde Nast, Disney, GE, Microsoft, MTV, JP Morgan and the PGA Tour. Focused exclusively on honoring outstanding creative work, the 18th Annual Davey Awards received over 2,000 entries from ad agencies, digital agencies, production firms, in-house creative professionals, graphic designers, design firms and public relations firms. Other winners this year included the United States Air Force (USAF), Coors Light Beer, UberEats, the Canada Revenue Agency, PBS Distribution and AARP. Building on the success of this past year, the administration plans to implement a similar campaign during the same time period in 2023.
