SUBJECT: Monthly Donation Report -October 2022
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to provide the Mayor and Commission with a monthly
update on the donations accepted by the City of Miami Beach, under the City Manager's authority
as per Resolution 2022-32284. The resolution delegated to the City Manager the authority to
accept donations for the benefit of the City in the amount of $25,000.00, including in-kind
donations valued in the amount of $7,500.00 or less, to the extent permitted by law; further,
requiring that the City Manager release a monthly report via Letter to Commission documenting
the name of each donor, the amount of each donation, the date each donation was made, and
the public purpose that would be served by accepting each donation.
During the month of October 2022, the administration accepted the following donations:
Item: Veterans Day -Presenting Sponsor
Name of Entity: T-Mobile USA, Inc.
Estimated Worth: $15,000.00
Sponsorship Date: October 20 -November 12, 2022
Description: This sponsorship will grant T-Mobile the exclusive rights as presenting sponsor of
Veterans Day 2022. As part of the sponsorship package, T-Mobile will receive the following
benefits:
Designated as the official presenting sponsor in event logo lock up -"Veterans Day
Parade: Presented by T Mobile".
Exclusive sponsor logo on all signage as the presenting sponsor.
Exclusive sponsor logo featured in top position on all media (print ads, online ads,
television PSA, social media, etc.) *
Free parade entry for up to 3 vehicles.
1 x 10' x 20' space in sponsor's area (tent and production set up at sponsor's expense)
-Ability for one sponsor representative to speak during the Ceremony.
Inclusion in subject line of the official press release.
-Ability to hand out branded merchandise within sponsor area (at sponsor's expense).
Item: Veterans Day -Picnic Sponsor
Name of Entity: Burgermeister Holdings, LLC.
Estimated Worth: $2,500.00
Donation Date: November 11, 2022
Description: Burgermeister Holdings, LLC will donate approximately $2,500 worth of food
product to include hamburgers, french fries and condiments, to provide a free picnic lunch for up
to 500 attendees of the Veterans Day picnic lunch. In return, the City of Miami Beach will provide
Burgermeister with the following benefits:
Logo inclusion on all printed collateral.
1 x 1 0' x 1 0' space for brand activation on site.
Sponsor to be allowed to bring branded collateral for activation footprint as approved by
City of Miami Beach.
Item: Veterans Day-Radio Sponsor
Name of Entity: Cox Media, LLC.
Estimated Worth: $5,000.00
Donation Date: October 20 -November 12, 2022
Description: This in-kind donation will provide the City of Miami Beach Veterans Day event with
up to $5,000 in media services to promote the event (including 14 x 30 second radio spots). In
return, the City of Miami Beach will provide the following benefits:
Logo inclusion on all advertising collateral as media partner
Logo inclusion on all printed collateral as media partner
1 x 1 0' x 1 0' space for brand activation on site
Sponsor to be allowed two vehicles in the parade
Sponsor to be allowed to bring branded collateral for activation footprint as approved by
production company
