SUBJECT: Cultural Arts Council Motions -November 3, 2022
The purpose of this letter to the Mayor and Commission is to provide an update regarding
a motion made during the November 3, 2022 Cultural Arts Council ("CAC") meeting.
1. Miami Beach Bandshell Community Benefit Waiver Program
Motion to support a pilot program that would allocate an additional six (6) waivers to the
Miami Beach Bandshell, for a total of eighteen (18) waivers annually, allocated as follows:
• Ten (10) waivers available for the Spring Season (January-June 2023)
• Eight (8) waivers available for the Fall Season (July-December 2023)
• Reimbursable technical fees for single day events capped at $2,500
• Reimbursable technical fees for multiple day events capped at $5,000
The above motion was made by David Sexton, seconded by Sarah Leddick and
approved unanimously.

Cheryl Jacobs, Tiffany Lapciuc, and Brian Erlich.
