The ceremony will take place at Bolivar’s Miami Beach monument in Collins Park. “July 24 is celebrated as Simon Bolivar Day throughout Latin America and Miami Beach is no different,” explained Chairman Gabriel Paez of the Miami Beach Hispanic Affairs Committee. The monument, which is located at 21 Street and Collins Avenue, commemorates Bolívar’s courageous effort.
