The venue is located at 500 17 Street, and public parking is available in the city garage at 640 17 Street. The celebration of life will be livestreamed via the city’s Facebook page at Facebook.com/cityofmiamibeach. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made out to the Mark Samuelian Foundation and mailed to Foundation Source C/O Mark Samuelian Foundation, 55 Walls Drive, 3rd Floor, Fairfield, CT 06824. Commissioner Samuelian was first elected to public office in November 2017 and reelected in 2021 without opposition for a second, four-year term. Born in Boston, Samuelian was the first member of his family to earn a college degree, graduating cum laude from Georgia Tech with an industrial engineering degree and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Mark was an active leader in many of the region’s important organizations. He served on the Board of Directors for the Miami-Dade Beacon Council and the Board of Governors for the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, and he was an Advisory Board Member of the World Affairs Council of Miami.
