SUBJECT: DEADLINE TO PLACE MEASURES ON THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
NOVEMBER 7, 2023 GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT.
Should the City of Miami Beach wish to conduct a Special Election along with its November
7, 2023 General Election, the deadlines listed below must be followed to allow
sufficient time for ballot preparation and to meet State and County-mandated deadlines:
Note that pursuant to Florida Statutes Section 100.151, " ... the governing authority of a
municipality shall not call any special election until notice is given to the Supervisor of
Elections and his (her) consent obtained as to a date..." Once approval is obtained from
the Supervisor of Elections, the resolution to call a special election must be passed to
meet the deadlines listed below.
