Sustainability Committee Motions
Dear Honorable Mayor and City Commission,
The Sustainability Committee met on January 26, 2023 and passed the motions below:
• The Sustainability Committee urges the Mayor and City Commission to consider a
citywide ban on intentional balloon releases in line with the Boynton Beach Ordinance.
In addition, if permissible by law, the Sustainability Committee urges the Mayor and City
Commission to consider a tenfold fine schedule.
• The Sustainability Committee supports the staff's recommendations in regards to
proposed locations for a composting hub in Mid Beach.
