SUBJECT: Convention Center Hotel Project- Grand Hyatt Miami Beach
Underground Infrastructure Installation - Traffic Pattern Impact
The purpose of this Letter to the Commission ("LTC") is to advise you that starting on February 21,
2023, through March 17, 2023 (tentative), Convention Center Drive between 17"and 18" Streets,
and two (2) west-bound lanes on 17 Street between Convention Center Drive and approximately
Pennsylvania Avenue, will be closed for vehicular traffic.
One (1) east-bound lane and one (1) west-bound lane on 17 Street will remain open at all times,
and access to elected officials parking spaces will be maintained.
This is required for underground infrastructure installation, which is part of the critical path of the
scope of work of the Early Access Agreement with MB Mixed Use Investment, LLC (hotel
developer). The contractor has an approved MOT and the work has been coordinated with
Convention Center Operations.
