Page 1 of 3 File No. 23-051 4 0 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE 41 CITY OF HALLANDALE BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 42 43 SECTION 1. The foregoing "whereas" clauses are hereby adopted and 44 incorporated herein. 45 SECTION 2. Th e Mayor and City Commission of the City of Hallandale Beach 46 support the state high schools' ability to teach advanced placement African American 47 studies courses and hereby urge the Florida Department of Education to reverse its 48 rejection of the AP course on African American Studies. 49 SECTION 3. That the Clerk of the City of Hallandale beach is hereby requested 50 to send a copy of this resolution to the Florida Department of Education, the Office of 51 Governor Ron Desantis, the media, and any other interested person. 52 SECTION 4.
