SUBJECT: FLORIDA FRESH MARKETS EXPANSION UPDATE
The purpose of this L TC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of the
expansion of Florida Fresh Market artisanal markets to additional neighborhoods
throughout the City.
Pursuant to RFP 2021-151-ND for the Lummus Park Artisanal Market, City Administration
has worked with Florida Fresh Markets to add 3 additional market locations throughout the
City in 2023. At the February 1, 2023 Commission Meeting, the Mayor and the City
Commission approved and authorized the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1to
add activations in the areas of the 41 st Street commercial corridor, Collins Park Plaza, and
Normandy Fountain Plaza.
The next market location to launch will be on Saturday, March 4, beginning at 11:00 am
located at the plaza on 22' Street and Liberty Avenue. A ceremonial ribbon cutting
ceremony is scheduled to take place at 1 :00 pm. This market will continue each Saturday
on a weekly basis thereafter.

One additional future market location is tentatively scheduled to launch later this year at
the Normandy Fountain Plaza (Fall). The Administration has been in communication with
the Normandy Fountain Plaza Business Association and the information has been
received with excitement and anticipation.
