SUBJECT: FY 2024 Budget Developm ent Meeting Dates
The purpose of this Letter to C omm ission is to outline the upcom ing meeting dates related to the
developm ent of the FY 2024 O perating and Capital Budgets.
T he FY 2024 budget discussion w ill comm ence w ith a C om m ission Budget W orkshop on May
11 , wh ere th e Adm ini stra tion wi ll provi de an overvi ew of the upcom i ng budget pro cess and a
preview of discussion item s w hich w ill be further discussed during the Summ er.
Each year, the Adm inistration pro vides budget briefings at a series of Finance Econom ic
R esiliency C omm ittee (F E R C ) meetings com m encing in the sum m er. Please note that the full
City C omm ission is invited to each of these budget briefings. Attendance is highly recom m ended.
Th e dates for this year's brief ings are June 23"°, July 14 and July 21°.
T he FE R C pro vides re comm endations, w hich inform the final proposed budgets and m illage
rates. T he pro posed maxim um millage rates w ill be adopted at the City Com m ission meeting on
Jul y 26.
O nce set by the City Com m ission, the first P ublic Hearing to adopt the proposed millage rates
and budgets wi ll be hel d on September 13, and th e second Publ ic Hearing to adopt th e final
adopted m illa ge rates and budgets wi ll be hel d on September 27h. Th e table below furth er
outlines these dates fo r ease of reference.
