Bond Oversight Committee Motions The purpose of this Letter to the Commission (“LTC”) is to provide an update regarding two motions made during the April 20, 2023 G.O. Bond Oversight Committee meeting. Voting Members present: Karen Rivo (Chair), Jack Glottmann, Jason Koslowe, Scott Needelman, Dennis Scholl, Susan Askew Non-Voting Members present: Carolina Jones, David Grieser, Michael DeFilippi, Adam Kravitz Voting Members absent: Laura Veitia Non-Voting Members absent: Bruce Carter MOTION 1 - Regarding project funds temporary re-alignment: Background: The Urban Forestry Division of the Environment & Sustainability Department has planted over 1,900 trees in various neighborhoods and parks throughout the City. Biscayne Point is the next neighborhood targeted for reforestation. The estimated project cost exceeds the funding amount currently available in Tranche 1. Motion: The G.O. Bond Oversight Committee made a motion to approve the Administration’s recommendation to temporarily re-align $150,000 from sub-project GO #37 Sidewalk Improvements to GO #33 Tree Planting to allow the Urban Forestry Division to continue moving forward with the program. Motion made by Jack Glottmann Motion seconded by Jason Koslowe Motion passed 6-0 MOTION 2 – Regarding recommendation of the GOB for Arts & Culture Tranche 1 total amount: Background: The Administration is endorsing the recommendations made at the March 31st Finance & Economic Resiliency Committee Meeting which modified the original Tranche 1 total from $99,527,000 to a revised Tranche 1 total of $101,700,000. 181-2023 Motion: The G.O. Bond Oversight Committee made a motion to support the Administration’s recommendation of the G.O. Bond for Arts & Culture Tranche 1 total of $101,700,000.
