S U B JEC T: Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Proposals (RFP) 2023-479-KB for the
Management and Operation of a High-End Beach Establishment
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the
status of RFP 2023-479-KB. The RFP seeks proposals from firms interested in being considered
for the management and operation of a high-end beach establishment on the property located at
One Ocean Drive and the adjacent concession area.
Proposals pursuant to this RFP will be received on August 15, 2023. The responsive proposals
will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria established in the
RFP.
I have appointed the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Hernan Cardena, Director, Code Compliance Department
• Jose Del Risco, Assistant Director, Parks and Recreation Department
• Jason Greene, Chief Financial Officer, Finance Department
• Keith Marks, President, South of Fifth Neighborhood Association (SOFNA)
• Elizabeth Miro, Interim Director, Facilities and Fleet Management Department
I have also appointed the following individuals as alternates:
• Ozzie Dominguez, Division Director, Facilities and Fleet Management Department
• John Rebar, Director, Parks and Recreation Department
