SUBJECT: Motion from the LGBTQIA+ Committee
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to provide you with the motion made at the
LGBTQIA+ Committee meeting held on September 12, 2023. For any questions or comments

The LGBTQIA+ Committee urges the Miami Beach City Commission to support Item C7
AA "Waive Special Event Fee/Extended Alcohol Hours, Winter Party Festival '24."
Winter Party has been a cultural institution in Miami Beach since 1994 and brings an estimated
6,500 visitors to Miami Beach annually. Winter Party has long maintained a positive reputation
within the City providing a welcoming and safe environment.
