This Letter to Commission will provide you with the motions made by the Miami Beach
Commission for Women during its September 12, 2023 meeting. For any questions or

Members present: Dr. Louise DePodesta, Mirielle Enlow, Faye Goldin, Janis Good, Barbara
Kaufman, Charlotte Libov, Dr. Lynette Long, Robyn Malek, Pamela Mayer, Elizabeth Resnick,
Pam Rodgers, Debra Schwartz, Trisha Sindler, Merle Shama, and Marjorie York.

The Miami Beach Commission for Women makes a motion to co-designate Miami Beach city
streets in honor of women who have significantly impacted Miami Beach's history and culture.
The Miami Beach Commission for Women recommends the following outstanding noteworthy
women:
Mayor Matti Bower,
Gloria Estefan, and
Naomi Wilzig
Motion Passage: Unanimously
The Miami Beach Commission for Women urges the Mayor and Commission to support the
above requests.
