Motion by the Human Rights Committee
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to inform the Mayor and the Commission of a
motion made by the Human Rights Committee at their meeting on July 10, 2023. The Human Rights
Committee is co-sponsoring this motion with the Miami Beach Commission for Women.
MOTION: At the July 10, 2023, Human Rights Committee meeting, the committee passed a motion
to place Human Trafficking signage which encourages trafficked individuals to call the National
Human Trafficking Hotline. Posters should be placed around the City in locations to include, but not
limited to, libraries, bus stops, parks, and City buildings.
