SUBJECT: Vote-by-Mail Drop Box Relocation to 1700 Convention Center Drive
The purpose of this Letter to the Commission is to inform the Mayor and City Commission that the Miami-
Dade County Elections Department has agreed to relocate the City Hall Vote-by-Mail Drop Box location
from the side of City Hall on 17th Street, where it has been in previous elections, to the front of City Hall
on 1700 Convention Center Drive.
This decision was made in response to safety concerns arising from traffic congestion and ongoing
construction on 17th Street. Additionally, the relocation aims to enhance convenience for our residents by
providing a more accessible and efficient site for dropping off ballots.
Please be aware that the designated parking spots outlined in the attached photograph will be utilized for
the Vote-by-Mail Drop Box during the early voting hours specified in the Early Voting Schedule for the
General Election and Run-Off Election (if required). We kindly request all staff members to cooperate
and ensure the smooth functioning of this relocated Vote-by-Mail Drop Box point.
