SUBJECT: Weekly Lane Closure Notice for the Week of December 25th, 2023, thru
December 31st, 2023
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to notify the Mayor and City Commission of
the work taking place in the public right-of-way of road construction, private construction,
and/or utility companies in compliance with Resolution 2022-32081.
The Engineering Division of the Public Works Department created the City of Miami
Beach’s Interactive Lane Closure Map-which can be accessed through the following link
Miami Beach GIS (miamibeachfl.gov). This interactive map (Exhibit A) illustrates the
location of right-of-way permits issued throughout the City, including those that are
active, as well as those that have expired over the past 30-day period. Users can select
each permit location to see further permit details, including permit No., permit type, date
issued, expiration date, description and address. Exhibit B presents a table listing all
illustrated active right-of-way permits. The Public Works Department will continue to find
ways to improve the Interactive Lane Closures Map. This link is available on the City of
Miami Beach Website for the public’s use.
The lane closures along major thoroughfares in the City are limited to Mondays through
Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted on the permit or on a
case by case basis. Additionally, Right-of-Way Inspectors will continue to monitor and
take appropriate action as required to ensure compliance.
